From Auch the GR653 continues its undulating way through the rich countryside of Gascony, past the delightful bastide of Barran and the less delightful riverside village of l’Isle-Noé, to the perched village of Montesquiou, then Marciac with its enormous arcaded square and finally the comforts of Maubourguet.
