From Castelmoron we followed the Lot on its final journey to Aiguillon, where it was swallowed by the Garonne. After that we followed the Baïse, a tributary of the Garonne, all the way to Condom, and even beyond. Along the way we passed through the wine district of Buzet, the beautiful little bastide of Vianne, the town of Lavardac on the old trade route from the Pyrénées, and some of the vineyards dedicated to the making of Armagnac.
The unseasonal rain had reduced the GR to a slushy mess, so we mostly kept to small roads. We were drenched frequently, but there were periods of better weather and we actually camped when we got to Condom, having stayed in hotels on the previous two nights.
