After three days of relative inactivity, during which we transferred ourseves from le Puy to Saint-Amand-Montrond, we were ready to start the second half of our long walk. The plan was to follow the Cher river all the way to Tours, close to its confluence with the Loire, and for this section we were never far from the river.
The landscape was mercifully gentle, with nothing worse than the occasional small hill to climb, and the villages along the way provided frequent refreshment, so the weak link in the party was able to keep up, most of the time.
Rest day: Saint-Amand-Montrond
Day 13: Saint-Amand-Montrond to Châteauneuf-sur-Cher
Day 14: Châteauneuf-sur-Cher to Villeneuve-sur-Cher
Day 15: Villeneuve-sur-Cher to Mehun-sur-Yèvre
