In this section, we followed the Dordogne for two days, then left it on the third day and crossed the causse to Montpon-Ménestérol in the valley of the Isle. The next day was another river walk, as we went upstream to Neuvic-sur-L’Isle.
On the last day of the section, we again crossed the causse and ended up in the valley of the Dronne, at Ribérac, having walked an entire day in rain for the first time in our French experience.
